Color Management
Working with color management involves the use of specific ICC profiles for each object in the workflow (digital camera, scanner, monitor and printer).

GraficArtPrints gives you the possibility to calibrate your printer professionally, providing a specific ICC for your particular combination of printer/inks/paper.

Thus, before applying for an ICC profile for your printer, you should calibrate (at least) your monitor so that the future printed images will correspond to what you see on screen. For this calibration you could use hardware tools or software utilities such Adobe Gamma.

Building yor custom profile
Working with a custom ICC profile, is not only a significant increase in visual quality of printed images, but according to what combination of materials, an unavoidable necessity.

Figure shows the gamut increase provided by custom profile, which will allow the printer to print colors that without such a profile would be impossible to reproduce.

To create these ICC profiles for your printer, we use a spectrophotometer perfectly calibrated with a highly efficient software with the best color conversion algorithms to make the reading of the Profile Test Prints, preprinted for you on a combination of factors (printer/ink/paper/printer resolution) for your unique workflow. Remember that you need a custom profile for each combination of printer/ink/paper/print resolution you want. The accuracy of your custom profile will depend on the cleanliness printing the Profile Test Prints that you send us. We urge you to carefully read the printing instructions you will find here.

Once you receive from us the custom profile, you must install on your computer. In some applications you only need to right click it and choose "install profile".

If your operating system does not allow this operation, you must place the profile in the following directory folder:

Warning
On some Windows systems, the ICC profiles stored in the directory should not exceed the number of 30.

Once you install the profile, it is ready for use.

In Phtoshop CS2 choose "Print with Preview" (Ctrl+Alt+P) .

Then choose "Page Setup" to access printer driver, check "No Color Management" (Sin ajuste de color) and -logically- choose paper type and the same print resolution used when printing the Profile Test Print.

Then press "OK" (Aceptar) to return to Photoshop menu and choose "Let Photoshop Determine Colors", so that opens the dropdown menu "Printer Profile" where you select your custom profile.

As for "Rendering Intent" you must choose "Relative Colorimetric" and check "Black Point Compensation".
